Happy birthday girls!

For the girls birthday this year we decided to make it a big one and to celebrate them together, before the end of the school year. I just want to say that it could have not been better. The girls were just so happy a lot of family came to the party. Nanny and Papa came and Aunt Hillary made the long drive with emma and rebecca and Tia Adri and Tio Jesse made the super long drive with cookie and yaya! We were just so blessed to have them around and the girls felt so special. That wasn't all there were a total of 22 kids at the party. It was a great turn out and I have to say that we just rocked the party. Here are some photos of the highlites...

The party was a carnival themed party and for one of the booths I hired a face painter (whom by the way was just fantastic even the adults got their faces painted) Lili was the first one to get her face painted along with her arms, legs and any other body part she could fit a design in. I think this booth was her favorite!

I also hired Suzy Q the clown. I was a bit worried that the older kids weren't gonna like the clown but they loved it. She did a magic show and both lili and sarah got to help with the magic act they were hilarious! I have to say that lili Impressed us because she really got in to it, she got on stage by herself with the clown and spoke to all the kids and wasn't shy at all. She loved it!

Sarah enjoyed hitting the clown piñata and she used the sweater hood (brilliant!) to round up all the candy that fell from the piñata. She was not one bit afraid to get in there and struggle with all the other kids for candy.

The balloon animals were also a hit all the kids lined up to ask Suzy Q the clown for theirs. Sarah asked for a dog of course!

Having family come was extra special to the girls. They really loved spending time with their cousins.

Nana Sydne was great! She played a fortune teller ( a fantastic one) for one of the booths. All the kids had a lot of fun getting their palms read and being told their future (Thank you Nannie!). We also had a can toss booth a bean bag booth and had a potato sack race and balloon toss game. The kids loved all of them but the balloon toss was with out a doubt sarah's favorite!

Even the boys (who are sometimes shy about wearing make-up) got their arms painted.

The cake was literally the "icing on the cake" It was so beautiful! The girls eyes just lit up and they were absolutely thrilled! It didn't only look stunning but it tasted fantastic. One layer was chocolate and the other two were almond with fresh fruit and it was soooo GOOD! Like in any carnival we also had caramel apples, cotton candy, popcorn and hot dogs.

At the end of the party the girls sat down and opened all their presents.. With hugs and laughs every one said their goodbyes. The girls still have not stopped talking about their party! Jared and I are still so tired but you know what we would do it all over again, just to see their beautiful smiling faces...

Chinese New Year Parade

Sarah really wanted to go see the Chinese New Year Parade. It is one of the biggest parades in san francisco and is one of the ten best parade in the world. So We figured it would be fun to go and guess what it was! It wasn't too cold so we weren't cold and we got there a bit early so we were able to find sidewalk seating. Here are some of the best pictures...

The colors were really breath taking and the lights and fire crackers were just awesome! I don't think I got a picture of the fire crackers but these photos set somewhat of the parade tone.

There were lots of dragons during the parade but the orange one was the biggest longest and brightest! It was really an awesome dragon it looked like it was on fire.

This picture was taken before the parade started and while we were waiting the girls were excited and were screaming very loudly along with everyone else.

All in all we had a wonderful time!

This morning I woke up and it began like any other morning except today is our wedding anniversary. So this morning when my honey took sarah to school he came back with these...

You are looking at my honey hold 4 dozen flowers. Aren't they beautiful? Now they sit in my dining room looking like this...
reminding me of the blissful 4 year of marriage I've had next to the most amazing man ever! Love you babe!

christmas 2008

Today I went in to my office and came across 2007 christmas pictures and I could not help but feel great sentiment. For 2008 christmas the girls were so much bigger and in someway seemed more in to christmas. Well, maybe just lili since she was too little last year to know any better. Anyway I want to post some photos of christmas and our snow trip after christmas.

Yosemity turned out to be a lot of fun.We spend most of our time out in the snow just throwing snow balls at each other.LIli especially loved every second of the snow. We bought them snow ball makers and they made lots of them . they went up and down the hill to sled down. Lili impressed us because she has no fear!! That kid, Is growing up too fast! Sarah loves the hotel room service and jumping on the beds that is her favorite part of any trip. She does enjoy everything else but not as much as the room service. She is too funny! They are both too darn cute!

Sarah's Winter Musical

It is amazing how fast this school year is going by. Even more amazing is how much Sarah has grown. She is turning out to be quite a smart talented beautiful and artistic girl. She has been studying voice and piano so when it was time for her school winter musical she was more than ready! We had all been so excited about this day and when it finally came we were in the biggest rush ever! I helped sarah choose the most beautiful dress and we curled her hair and she put lipgloss on and for extra bling added a brand new bracelet. Dad came home early from work to be there and nana Sydne drove a long way to come see her. It turned out to be a lot smaller than last years but nonetheless Sarah's class was the best! She looked so cute and they all sang and danced and although we had heard her sing that same songs a thousand times before this time it really took our breath away. they were all so adorable with their little hats that they had made special for that night. My only one regret was forgeting my camera but nana had hers so it wasn't a total failure. We then all went out for dinner to celebrate Sarah's great Job!

Our trip to the desert.

Like every year I take the kids and go to palm desert to visit my family, and this year was no different the only difference was that I had a new family member there, Ashely and her family. Who we visited and had a nice little visit with. Her place is just too cute! I was so happy to see they were literally right by the pool and just a few blocks away from the mall my favorite place! It was so nice to see her and shane. His store was so adorable and he seemed very happy there and of course so did Ashely and the kids.
We also visited my sister and her family whom we stayed with for about 3 days, It was so nice to see the kids they are huge and I am telling you they look about a billion times bigger in person. We got to see a lot while we were there she took us to her school where she teaches and we got to see her in action. Her class is just so well put together I was very impressed. Richard (my brother in law) was such a sweet heart and took care of all 5 kids while my sister took me out to a fancy great tasting restaurant for my birthday!! We had oh so much fun.

The kids really enjoyed their time with the cousins too! They also enjoyed spending time with Tia Vero and Dee. We visited tia vero's new place. It was very nice and the girls particularly loved the dogs! they we very cute.

We ended up staying an extra day because the girls did not want to leave they wanted to stay and visit more with everyone Including Nana Linda where we stayed for another 3 days. We went to the movies and saw marni sarah's BFF. We also visited with my uncle and although I did not have time to see everyone else we will see them all soon. As we will be returning the first week of january. We can't wait!

We are also looking forward to seeing my sister and her kids for thanksgiving!

My girls dressed for halloween!

We had so much fun on halloween this year, We took our neighbor Julia with us, She is so sweet and the girls just adore her! We started up on broadway at jared's work, then headed down our block for another hour. It was very cute seeing the girls have so much fun and enjoy their candy. They got so much of it. Lili's candy lasted about a day but sarah's lasted about a week even after I threw out half of it. They had so much fun and the picture that you see here is one of two that I have this year. They were taken at J's work the great photographers took it.

Lili just looks so adorable! Sarah is such a good poser! Lili had so much fun I think halloween is officially her favorite holiday!
