Our Little Picasso!

I don't have a picture ( I wish I did) but the story is just too adorable to not blog! Today while I picked up sarah The principal of the school came up to me. I was imagining that sarah had done something wrong, because she never really interacts with parents so I knew she wasn't just saying hello. Well as the conversation progressed she said you will never guess what sarah did? My eyes opened wide and my heart began to pound and i said " oh no, what?" she smiled and said we had the school send over cards to Father Larry up at the cathedral ( let me remind you that sarah goes to a catholic school) And he called me today. At this point I'm guessing oh my! she drew someone naked or cursing or something? I have no Idea why I was thinking this but I did... She continued.. Out of the entire school, Sarah's card caught his attention, The fact that she is so young and can draw and express herself in her art is impressive and the card was simply adorable with a twist. To this I smiled and thanked her and asked what did she draw i'd love to see it, she said: Sarah drew a very colorful detailed picture of Father Larry holding a bible on the bible cover it read I love my job! Well, Father Larry loved it so much that if you would like to see it you have to drive up to the cathedral and walk in to his office because he said he loved it so much he hanged it up in his office.

After we said our goodbye's I stood there feeling horrible for thinking she had done something wrong, But I have to say it, Some people are proud of good grades(don't get me wrong to some point I am too) Others of sports and others of accomplishments. I could not be more proud of Sarah for her artistic talent! she is a true blessing and Jared and I feel so lucky that God send us such an amazing talented kid! Those of you who have seen her art know what I'm talking about!

It is wonderful that you realize that she has a special talent and that you encourage her to continue being creative. Let her know I am proud of her.
