Every Year we go to pumpkin patches. This year was no exception. We all were so excited to go to the pumpkin patch especially Lili I think it was because she did not remember much from last year and heard sarah be so excited!! Well, I got them the cutes little outfits and They felt so girly and cute in them and if I may say so myself they looked adorable! So all set and ready and here we go. They ran up to the petting zoo were they fed goats and then off to see the chickens and turkeys. Then off to the haunted house and to the jumping play house. If your wondering if Lili cried when inside the haunted house the answer is NO!!! The kid loved every bit of it. Then they were of to the junk food section where they had pizza and soda and candy corn and anything sweet they could get their hands on. Then they went to do more jumping in the play house. Finally, we were off to a new pumpkin patch were we got down to the serious business of picking pumpkins! They must of choose about 20 and they loved each and every one we tried to talk them out of taking home that many but they had a reason of why each one was special. With that being said we now have 20 pumpkins decorating or front door entrance! Imagine that! Yikes! All In all a great time!

Lili's ballet classes
Lili has been doing great in her ballet classes. Keeping mommy very busy! Although she seems to not like mornings a lot. Giving us a rough time on figuring out when she is at her best. I think we have finally got it and she is ready to rock! She is doing good and seems so happy and Oh my does she not look darling in her ballerina outfit!!

Jared and I visit NYC
Nannie and Papa were so kind to come and stay with our girls and Hilary was so kind to let nannie borrow her two girls to come and play with ours! Nannie coming to stay with our girls was awesome and let way so that I could leave town without worry :) for the most part. I was worried that they would drive nannie and papa nuts! but each time I called from NYC and heard nannie's voice of happiness of being here with her grandkids I was very relief. Allowing me the time for some very much needed break from motherhood. Thank you Nannie and Papa!
New york was so warm I think it was in the low to mid 80's the entire time and Oh my it was just gorgeous! We in the little time we were there did so much. We went to see "The Musical Mama Mia" It was so much fun and I actually got to watch it completely!!! witch was oh so great. We ate at so many little restaurants and strolled down central park eating ice cream and feeding the squirrels. We visited connecticut and saw their beautiful beach and how wonderful it is there, I loved it! We went out to a small nice dinner with some old friends. It was nice to see them and get to spend time with them. We went shopping (not as much as I would have liked but we shopped). We actually got in to a bicycle taxi, witch was very much fun but I did feel bad for the poor driver who had to drag us around. We went down to time square and saw all the bright lights it was just so much fun! You would think it was my first time there but I had forgotten how awesome New York is, specially since every time we go we take the kids and all I do is pull and haul and scream and push and well you know... At the end of the day I'd be so tired that I could care less about New York. But not this time! I really did enjoy myself. I do have to admit that the entire time we were there we talked about the kids isn't it funny how much their missed after about and hour of being away from them?
Anyway, Back to the trip.. It was so great! I think we'll have to do it again but next time to hawaii...
Although we had so much fun and even though I knew my girls were very well taken care of, I could not wait to get home and hug and kiss and see my two little angels! I was so happy to be back and so grateful to Nannie and Papa for staying with the kids!

Another Miles Goes Bald!
I know we all saw this day coming and although he is not yet completely bald I really see no point in keeping a half full head of hair around so.....
We all took it pretty well except sarah who took one look at her dad and was completely devastated!! We all tried to calm her down but, well this is how our conversation went; Sarah: how will it be o.k? it just wouldn't work with dad taking me to school or even if he would ever pick mer up "it is just too much mommy" Mom: Oh honey its o.k, Papa Rick is bald and you still love him, and no one makes fun of him right? Sarah: yes but, but he's old he's supposed to be bald! Jared: Oh I'm sorry honey, I can't help it. people would laugh if they ever look at the top of my head and see it with a few bald spots and me pretending to have a full head of hair.
At this point I can't hold it in anymore and just begin to laugh so hard while our poor sarah sobbed and then, Jared said the funniest thing. I'm not losing my hair is migrating from my head to my back because is colder there. That is all it took plus a rub on daddy's new bald head and sarah was happy. I will never forget how patient and loving Jared was with his daughter and her little crisis.

Lake Almanor!
We had never been to lake Almanor before. It is not that far from San Francisco is about 5-5 1/2 hours. We went with our friends Julie and Dan and their 2 kids Dereck and Kayla. It was so much fun. We were there for 5 days and we did just about everything you could do on the lake. We went for a ride on the ski boat and Jared got to ski. I was too scared. Did not do it no matter how hard Julie and Jared try to convince me to.I did however get in a donut that the boat pulled and almost flipped over that was super fun! Sarah loved getting on the donut it was awesome to see her have so much fun. Jared took the girls on a pedal boat (I think that's what is called) they loved it. We would also just enjoy going for rides on the boat and laying under the hot sun by the beach ( my favorite thing to do). Dan pulled out the jumping houses for the kids every evening and they had oh so much fun they also got to ride around in kid cars. Lili kept trying to drive one with no luck I think that was her favorite part. Jared and I got on jet ski's that was a lot of fun too. Altogether a great time! Here are some photos...
I can't wait till next time...

School is back in session!
Its been a tradition and very important to us that the entire family including "both" parents accompany sarah to her first day of school. So this year was no exceptions. She looked so beautiful and grown up. I mean her backpack was about 5 times bigger than her but hey she was happy! I was very surprise to how brave and excited she was to be attending a new school this year. She loves change I think she gets that from Jared. I always whine and get nervous and go thru this awkward feeling when something changes but not sarah she is so special and smart and so ready to face the world. I really love that about her.
Lili however has a very difficult time with change like me! Something I know that will probably change with time. She was not happy with sarah leaving her. They had played and had such an awesome time all summer that she would just not have it. She cried a lot and kept saying "mommy me go to school too" We contemplated taking video to remind her of this someday but with all the craziness we will have to settle for a photo or two.

Sarah's birthday sleepover
It was so nice to have a low key birthday for sarah. I think she was able to appreciate all the other birthdays more and also see the beauty in simple things as well. This year her birthday was extended for a couple days. On her actual birthday I gave her her gifts and we sang happy birthday to her but it was somewhat sad to her because her dad was out of town for work. So when he got back a day later he also brought her gifts and bought her a cake and sang happy birthday. The last thing and most exciting thing was having Emma and Rebecca over for a sleep over who also sang to her and had a mini party here with her. They watch a movie ran wild ate popcorn put up tents and dressed up and had a blast!
